  1. For auto insurance the quick way to get a very good quote is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you compare similar policies with the same deductibles, auto make, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have big name insurers and can give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.

  2. yes, you do have to carry insurance, even though florida is a "no fault" state, which i think means that no matter who's really at fault, your insurance has to cover damages to your car, not the other way around, like in most normal states.

  3. yes, you are required by law to carry insurance in florida. state minimums are 10k pip(personal injury protection) and 10k property damage. i would highly recommend purchasing higher insurance, including bodily injury coverage for at least 25k. not having BI coverage will open yourself up to a lawsuit. Florida is a no fault state which means if you are injured in a car accident, regardless of fault, your PIP insurance is primary and will pay 80% of your medical bills  and 60% of your lost wages. There is always someone at fault in an accident!!!

  4. Yes, you have to insurance in every state of the US. You have to get atleast have LIABILITY insurance. That pays for anything that you run into when its your fault but will not pay to fix your own car. . Or you can pay MORE and get FULL COVERAGE that pays for anything that you run into  and also for the repairs for your car. having the car paid off... does nothing except allow you to legally lower your insurance to liablility only, but remember with liablility your car is not covered in a wreck just who ever you hit is.

  5. It is against the law in all states to have a car and not have insurance on it - you are required to carry it to pay for damage your vehicle does to other vehicles and property and to provide medical coverage for your passengers if you cause an accident.  That doesn't mean people don't do it, but they face jail time if caught and more and more states require showing insurance to renew license plates and drivers licenses.

  6. Of course you need car insurance.  If your car is paid off, you might just want to carry the state required minimum liability insurance.  It's much cheaper that way.

  7. YES, INSURANCE IS IMPORTANT.

  8. based upon your status,I believe you should find something useful here.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  9. Yes, you need at least Liability insurance.  Posters Mike1942 and Bull Dog are wrong when they say insurance is required in all 50 states.  Wisconsin and New Hampshire do do require auto insurance.  The fact it is paid off only means you do not need collision and comprehensive insurance but dropping even that coverage is not wise.
