  2. No, you don't need to be added to your parents insurance police until you have your license.  With a permit, you will never be in the car alone, and the insurance on the car will cover you.  

    Once you have a license, and can drive without someone with you is the point you will need to be added.

    I can't tell you how much, when that point comes, have your parents call the agent to find out what the increase will be.

    As stated, once you have your license you will be added and your name will then be on the policy, so no worries there.
