Question:

Do I need insurance for every car that I drive?

My parents are divorced and have split custody. Do I need to be insured under each of their cars or do I just need some sort of insurance and it carries over to the car? Is the main issue that the driver be insured, the car be insured, or that the driver be insured under the car? I live in Bexar county in Texas, if it matters.
