Do I need more hair for this cut?

Question

My hair right now is like this (This is NOT me)

And I want hair like this:

So will I be able to grow hair like this? Do I need it layered? Or does this guy simply have too much hair quantity, and I'll never be able to have enough?

BLAAAA the 'advertised' guys hair is messy and just ......ugh

I like you hair the way it is I would not change it. Yours looks alot healthier and cleaner then that other guys!

I would say you need to grow your hair longer to get that hair cut. Let it grow long then it can easily be cut like that.
