Do I need my insurance card to visit my doctor?

I have a doctors appointment today. I have been to see her before and that time I registered all my insurance details.

The only problem is I realised I left my insurance card at home so i won;t be able to pick it up before I go for my appointment. Will they absolutley need to see it? Or is there something else I can do?

  1. If they have all the info, they can check to see if your ins. is active.  If they do not have the correct info. then you may be responsible for payment.  I would let them know, you forgot your card, but you will fax the info over to them or call to make sure they have the correct numbers.  They cannot turn you away because you don't have your ins. card, but they could charge you for the office visit, if they don't have the correct info.

  2. Make use of google to collect some related links or you could try to use answer engines like yahoo answer or answer.com to get some related answers.nonetheless,If you like some direct resource, here is a good resource from my own experience.http://insurance.online-frees.info/insur...

  3. Probably not needed so long as they have your details on record from before and the expiration date on it has not passed.
