  1. A trust appoints a trustee, who has power of attorney.

    Some people include a durable power of attorney to handle affairs in case of incapacitation.


  2. Find a local attorney in the yellow pages who might answer these questions for you over the phone.  If they won't, which will probably be the case, find an attorney who has a free consultation to obtain a living trust.  Chances are, you think you know what you need but really you don't.  Let a professional help you out :)

  3. One has nothing to do with the other.  What are you trying to accomplish?  

    Edit.  A living trust does not appoint a trustee.
