Do I need the Internet to sync songs into my samsung mp3 player?

So, i'm thinking of getting a samsung mp3 for my birthday, but i really need to know if my computer is the only way to download songs onto it. Can i just use the device and ONLY the device to download songs?

You dont need the internet to sync songs. The only way you can get the songs onto your mp3 player is by using your computer and transferring the music files onto your mp3 player.
