Do I need the @home service to use the wi-fi for blackberry curve?

I have T-Mobile but I don't have a data plan for my Blackberry Curve.

I can access my home internet using the wi-fi. But do I need the @home service to do this or is it free to access my home internet?

Also, when I am using the wi-fi and make a call, is there a fee? Or does it use my minutes?

  1. No, you don't need the HotSpot@Home service in order to use Wi-Fi. the HotSpot@Home service for use with the mobile phones is so that you can make calls via Wi-Fi and not deduct from your wireless minutes allotment.

If you don't have the HotSpot@Home service you can still make calls over Wi-Fi, but it will deduct from your minutes.
