Do I need to be certified to become a children's party planner? If so, how can I get certified?

No you dont have to be certified, however it's best to be licensed.  A city license runs approx $75.  Building your clientele will be the challenge, GOOD LUCK.  Next time you should post NOT in the special education section.

It is not clear if the purpose of working with children in a party setting is specifically for those with disabilities in Special Education or if you are thinking of Employment working with all children.  Regardless, certification and business licensure is an issue of local law.  Contact your city, county, and state government directly for an answer to your question.

I don't know, but I would highly recommend that you have an FBI background check to show potential clients.
