or can we wait until the day of our trip?? Just seeing if the extra charge for shipping can be avoided. Only two of us will be traveling, morning trip, budget seating. . .

  1. It's better to book if you want to be sure to have a place !

  2. No, not really. But to be sure of a seat on the train, don't wait until the day of your train travel.  When you arrive in Toulouse, get a ticket at the train station, or at one of many ticket booths or agencies around the city.  If you are in a hotel, the concierge service will help you. There are also tourist assistance offices, if you are not needing to go there on a Sunday.  You may possibly be able to reserve a ticket online that can be retrieved at the train station. Look up "SNCF."  That is the name of France's national railroad.  A fast train "TGV" will cost about twice as much as a regular train.  You might also consider a bus.

  3. It's usually best to book a TGV train to be sure of a seat, and if you book as early as possible you will save money.
