  1. Not only do you need software but you will need a TV tuner card. Most T tuner cards come with their own software but I am not sure what type of TV shows it will play.

    Are you talking about taking a show from your DVR and playing it on your computer? If this is the question then again yes you will need software for this. I am not a software person so you might want to go to a Best Buy and ask them their and they should be able to steer you in the right direction. I hope this helps, Good Luck!


  2. Yes. You need to buy the software and must have a broadband internet connection. NO need of tuner card.
