All I have a a decent sony 32" that's capable of 720p. I'm playing an upconvert dvd player on it. It looks so good!!! i have hd cable so i know what to compare it to.

would it be worth it to buy a $400 bluray disc player now, or should i say s***w it and wait til their $100???

  1. i was in the same boat and to be honest after buying i could not really tell that much diff between upscale and highdef on a 32inch at 720p and only a small difference on my 140 inch screen

  2. If you are into gaming then buy a Playstation 3 console because the blu ray player is built in.

  3. If you're satisfied with the picture quality you're currently receiving, then save yourself the $400.  However, if you're craving for an even better picture, get a larger HDTV (at least 40") before you do the 1080p thing.  A 32" set won't give you much of a noticeable improvement worth the money between upconversion and true 1080i.
