I'm hooking this up to a Sony 32" Wega and want to know if I'm going to need to buy a receiver to use these speakers or if they'll just hook up straight to the T.V.

  1. Yes you most definitely need a receiver. Yes that is a good system, much better than what others have to offer. Klipsch are some of the most sensitive (loudest with the same amount of power) speakers available.

Onkyo and Denon both are regarded as good matches for that brand of speaker. Just make sure to listen to any amp with the Klipsch.

  2. Running external speakers to a TV, to me is something that I don't even imagine because first of all television only carry so much external power to be used and you don't really get the enjoyment and bass management, that is selecting the proper crossover frequency for your speakers that they require, and if you are carring anything with Klipsch, attached to it I would surely want to get a good receiver, preferably a 7.1 for optimal Surround Sound, and you will get the enjoyment pleasure out of your speaker[s] that TV, just can't provide, simply because the don't carry a sufficient amount of power to regulate a good sound playback____let the receiver do the work!

  3. yes - you do ...this system should would out nicely for you..
