Do I need to cut my hair to get a hair weave?

my hair is about 13 inches long do I need to cut my hair if i want only the weave hair shown? i'm not familiar with weaves at all.

no you do not need to cut your hair. even if a person has long hair they can still get a weave.

Hmmmm Interesting question.  I guess they can braid your own hair and do an interlocking method to give you the weaved hair that is dreaded.  I guess it would be similar braids.  Or they could braid your hair and add fake hair to it and twist the hair around the braids those are called silky dreads.  It can be done though, you have to speak to your stylist to see which method she will use.  My hair is locked and I love them.  Good luck you and your new style!

Absolutely not.

I dont know what kind of hair you have, but usually with african american hair they braid all your hair to your head in a circular pattern then apply the weave. It also depends on what kind of weave you want. You should include more details.
