Do I need to get a barber license in California to be employed if I'm already a good barber?

I've been cutting hair for 4 years in the military and have excellent skills, I've given thousands of haircuts for a wide-range of people including high ranking captains and admirals. What's the best way for me to quickly continue cutting hair professionally in the civilian world.

Yes you will have to get a barbar license if you want to cut hair in a shop. If you get caught without it not only can you be denied a license(when you go back to school) but the shop you work for will be fined and can be shut down
