Do I need to get a tetnis shot?

Question

I was out at our barn today and my steer (cow) smashed me up against the fence and mauled me =| I had his comb in my back pocket and like 7 or 8 teeth went into my back an inch deep. The comb is really dirty cause I use it to comb him and it was covered in hair and it's made out of aluminum. I had my last tetnis shot when I was 5 and I'm 15 now. Should I go in and get a tetnis shot tomorrow?

yes, it would be a good idea.  you should get one about every 10 years so you are due.

Yes, definitely get a tetanus shot because if it's been 10 years or more and you get any sort of injury, esp. where an object is known to be dirty you need a booster shot or you stand the risk of lockjaw which is next to incurable.  I'd go to the ER and not wait till tomorrow if I was you.  Best wishes.
