Do I need to get braces?? PICS INSIDE?

Question

Here are some pics of my teeth

some of them are kind of blurry and lopsided so sorry LOL

I want to know if I have normal teeth, or if it's time for braces.

So my Questions are

How much on a scale of 1-10 do they hurt to get them on?

Palate Expander and all.

How much would they cost in the state of Oklahoma?

How much on a scale of 1-10 does tightening them hurt?

Do I even Need them?

What do retainers do?

i think you should get them, they're totally worth it.

you should really be asking your dentist or orthodontist this.

they don't hurt while you're getting them on, it's after that does. i cried for 3 days. tightening is like a 5.5.

just ask a dentist this, you might not even be able

to get them for some reason.

oh and mine were about 6 thousand, but i live in Canada.

I think you should get some,

but you don't need them for long,

your teeth really arnt BAD,

but you should get them.

Hmmm, i cant really tell if you will need, braces the best thing to do is to check with your orthodontists an appoitment isnt that expensive.

I have had many plates myself and iam hoping after this one my dentist will change his mind about giving me braces.

I do know that, the braces will hurt in the first couple of days, as it adjust to the big metal thing covering your teeth, it can be painful to eat in that time so i suggest soup! it was i lived on for 5 days!! ☻

tightening will hurt a little because your mouth is adjusting again, this happens when i tighten my plate.

The kool thing with braces is the colored elastics you can wear!

The cost of braces depends on how long you will have them on, this price can range from 2500 dollars to 5000 dollars...i know it pretty expensive, but it sure is worth it in later life

Retainers are little plastic moulds you wear on your teeth after you get your braces removed, this helps the teeth retain their new shape after your braces are removed!! you wear retainers for around 2 weeks!

You might. Go to an orthodontist.(:

1-Getting them on doesn't hurt as bad as after word. I had the expander ):< and it hurt realllyyyyy bad; But my teeth were horrible. lol. on a scale 1-10 getting them on was a 4. afterwords was an 10/!

2- They would cost arounf 2000-5000 dollars depending on what you need.

5-after you get your braces off you get a retainer. it pretty much just keeps your teeth in place so the dont move back. (:

In southdakota, mine were 6000 dollars. But yeah your do need them. WHen they tighten them, it hurts because your mouth feels tight. Your mouth is just sore for the rest of the day. When my ortho tightens them, he dids them into my gum and im about ready to kick his @ss... But anyway, retainers are the things you need after you get your braces off to keep your teeth in place. YOU usually wear them for a few years, depending on your mouth. Good luck.

it doesn't look like you need them....i mean you can always get them and they are very expensive if you dont have insurance...but your teeth look like they will be okay without braces..

I didn't have a palate expander, but the actual braces were not bad.  They'd be sore for a day or two after tightening.  It looks like you may benefit from braces.  Braces are in the thousands of dollars, but a lot of dentists will work with you/or your parents on a payment plan.  Retainers do just what their name implies... they retain the teeth in place after you get your braces removed.

Braces hurt only when you get them tightened. As for expanders, I never had one so I don't know if they hurt. So braces put on would be about a 2 or 3. Tightening would be about a 6 or 7. When you get the rubber bands on (the colorful things on the braces) it hurts a little bit. I am rating the spacers to, so those would be about a 3 or 4. Braces cost about 3000-6000 dollars depending how long you are going to wear them and what kind of work you need.

Hi!  I don't think braces would be a bad thing for you, I think you could benefit!  I've never had a palate expander, some people don't need them, so you may not, but when you get it on, it's about a 7 maybe.  I'm not really sure how much it will cost in Oaklahoma, but prices are mostly the same in all the states, and mine were about 3,500 dollars, I'm just estimating though :)  Tightening hurts about a 3, because sometimes the adjustments aren't all that different from what you have had before, sometimes it's just a thicker wire, or sometimes they'll just change the colors.  But, if you get a powerchain, which is all the "colors"  connected together, it does hurt, but it deffinately isn't as bad as when you first get them on.  

Retainers are used sometimes both before and after braces.  Sometimes, orthos will use it to partially correct something, but usually, for most people, it's used after, when braces are taken off to retain your teeth, and keep it in that position.  Hope this helped!

maybe one of those little plastic clear things that you see in the comercial, to strighten up your teeth. braces cost about 3000 dollars and your teeth dont even look that bad to get them
