  1. yes you have to.  the oncoming traffic may not know that lane is a turning lane... also pedestrians.  even though traffic going the same way as you knows that it is a turning lane, people coming from other directions may not.

My friend actually got a ticket for not using his in a left turn only lane, so that should answer your question.  That was in PA by the way.

  2. YOU know you are in a left or right turn only lane, but in my little corner of the world, you MUST indicate to let OTHERS know your intentions!!!

I presume similar rules apply worldwide!

  3. Yes! You should always use your turn signal! Many a times I have seen people in turn only lanes procede to cut off the people in the straight lane. It's for safety and common curteousy to use it!

  4. Yes

  5. Hello,

If there is one junction then you do not need to activate the turning signal, but if there are multiple ways (2 or more) then you will legally be required to.

  6. Everybody does it out of habit anyway.

    Good Luck...

  7. couldnt hurt you might get pulled over and cited for failure

to use turn signals so it couldnt hurt to do in the first place

  8. Yes you do. It is a very good habit to get into, plus it also the law to signal when you are going to turn.

  9. Yes you should always use them, remember safety first....

  10. Always use your signals, it helps others.

  11. yes... but i rarely do lol

  12. it's best if you do...sometimes it's not immediately obvious to drivers in oncoming or crossing lanes that the lane you're in is a turning lane, if you signal your intentions, it's just better all round.

not to mention which, sometimes stupid and/or arrogant and/or ignorant and/or oblivious people don't realize they're in a turning lane, and go straight or turn the wrong way or whatever.  By using a turn signal, you let us know that you're one of us, not one of them.  ;)

  13. I never do, I assume I don't have to, as my presence in that lane is a signal!

In other words, turning into the left turn lane signals that i am making a left turn, and that is all the signal you need.

  14. daaaa yes why not
