I usually order from 1-800-contacts. My perscription hasn't change din all the years I've been wearing glasses/contacts, so I think it'll just be a waste of time and money. But can I order more contacts without it?

  1. 1-800-contacts requires a prescription that is one year old or less. You can try to order with an older prescription,  but they probably will not fill it.

  2. Most optical suppliers do not want to give new contacts without a current prescription, however, there are a few places that will bend the rules a little.  Your eyes are pretty vital, it might make good sense to pay the price for an exam, because they will also check for glaucoma and other eye problems which could potentially do terrible harm to your eyesight if not caught early.  The price of an eye exam is worth the cost for that reason alone even if the prescription does not change.
