Do I need to resign from work for my Pre-school to make it grow?

I started my Pre-school 3 years ago. My daugther who manage it is working abroad now. It's only the teacher who is the daughter of my niece is the one looking for it. I could not make full advertisement of the school because I am working even summer vacation. My children told me to stop working already so I could monitor and manage it properly or close the Pre-school and stay in my job. My school is running for 3 years already but it's not growing. As of now, I am not ready to retire because I am still paying my obligation to the GSIS. What do you think?

  1. From the very beginning you wrote, "I started my Pre-school..." This means that the Pre-school is your responsibility. Your choices are clear: Quit your job or close the Pre-school.

I'd say, "Quit your job because, the Pre-school is your investment." You should make every effort to make your investment grow. If that means you'd have to find help, go and find help. Make it work!

How does that affect your credit if your business "goes belly up?" You see, someone made an investment on your investment. By doing that, if you make money, the lender also gets paid. If you close the Pre-school, everybody loses. You lose and so does the lender. It will be more difficult next time you try to borrow from that lender. This is another reason to keep your Pre-school.

Therefore, I encourage you to keep the Pre-school. I believe you'll do fine. Wish you the best and God bless.
