Do I need to take both the SAT's and the SAT 2 tests or college?

Depends on what school.

If youre looking to go into a specific field, the school may require an SAT II in that field or a related field (such as engineering may require SATs in physics and math)

Recently Wake Forest announced they would not require SATs, which seems to be an emerging trend. So its definitely worth looking at what your potential school requires.

Some colleges require the SAT 2 tests. Check the websites of the ones you are applying to.

it depends. most top colleges require 2 or 3 SAT 2's. Almost all colleges require the SAT reasoning OR the ACT...either one. Some say that with the SAT reasoning you must have SAT2's but if you took the ACT then no. Some colleges *suggest* SAT2's..those won't reject u if you don't have them but it's good to have them as most peopl will. depends on the college. usually their website will tell u.
