  1. Your Permanent Resident status in the US does not affect being able to enter other countries (it only allows you to remain in the United States).

You will be traveling on your Taiwan passport and will need whichever passports Taiwanese citizens need for travel.  Both St. Thomas and Puerto Rico are "part" of the US, so you will not need a Visa (but bring your Permanent Resident card).

To find the requirements for other countries, find the website for the country's US embassy and read the requirements for Visas -- there will be a listing of countries whose citizens do not need passports and a listing of countries whose citizens do.

If you have questions, you can call the Visa office at the embassy directly.

If you purchased your cruise through a travel agent, the agent should do this for you.  If you bought your cruise through an on-line broker site or directly from the cruise line, you now know one of the advantages of going through a travel agent.

Good luck and enjoy the cruise!

  2. nope. All you need is a passport, i know because i just went on a cruse 2 monts ago.. have fun!

  3. we might be going on the same cruise lol do you leave this Sunday from Miami if so then we going on da same one lol but the lady at the post office who ordered my passport said i needed it but then the airport said i don't need it because it is for a cruise and you only need it if you are flying into that country

  4. No you should be ok with just the passport. When you go on a cruise you are given a set sail pass which is a cruise ID. Since you are visiting by cruise most places want to see verification that you are on the cruise which would be your set sail pass. Also rarely is there someone at the dock checking passports you just get on and off the ship and walk around at your leisure. Also visa requirements are normally for people flying directly to a country or spending a certain amount of time there, for a cruise you will only be there a few hours.
