  1. an american resident does not need a visa to visit Canada but if your flying you do need a passport

  2. visa, no.   Mastercard/Amex yes.

  3. Ditto the first answer. If you're not planning to work here, you don't need one. I cross between the US/Canada border every once in a while, the last time being last summer. I didn't even need a passport yet then. Just government issued photo ID. But to reiterate the other guy's comment, you do need your passport if you're flying.

This only applies to Americans, and if you have a green card, you're good to go.

  4. As a tourist?  No.  To work?  Yes.

  5. You dont need a visa, because you were born in CA, but people who weren't born from the U.S.A need one, it depends usually it takes a couple of weeks and can cost you abt $100 maybe even more, or less, i dont really know the correct amount.

    good luck!

  6. US citizens and US green card holders do not need a visa to enter Canada.

The green card holder should carry a passport when crossing the border, in both directions.

The US citizen can use alternate means of identification, such as birth certificate, and driving licence (photo ID) if you are travelling by car, bus or train.

Note that this is planned to change next year, after which a passport will be required.

It is not the same if you want to fly.

The visa status remains the same, but if you fly between Canada/USA in either direction the passport rules have already changed and you  must have a passport .
