Question:

Do I offer to help my co-worker move?

She's 4.5 months pregnant, her husband is a body builder and they have a 3 year old boy. She has offered her husband to help mine to paint our rental unit because he needed extra money. My understanding with "friends" is if you offer to help you shouldn't expect money. So, my coworker and I have had a rocky relationship but it's back to friendship again. I have plans Saturday when she is moving so what would you do? Should I offer help and just say I have to be done by 10am? Or just ignore it?

  1. If she is your friend and you know the predicament she is in why not help her.  Everyone needs help and she needs yours.  Just let her know that you would help her but you have business of your own to deal with at a certain time.  If you do not want to help say nothing but you will feel guilty for not doing it because you know that she is pregnant and she can not do it alone.  Be the friend that she know and love and do what you think is best.
