  1. Many folks say that "observed affirmative action" is that the mob throws people at you, and you have to hire them. Don't even consider getting painted by either side of that tarbrush! Learn a trade that you can make a simple living at, out of books, trade publications, study and practice with the actual tools, and touring jobsites. Once you are a successful lifeform unto yourself, study for the next higher job, or an entire better career in night or weekend classes. You will meet the kind of people in such classes which are good to know. Start a holiday card list of such people so they don't disappear, as people will. In summation, if you let some politician nanny your life, you won't actually have one. Get a life by creating one. Regards, Larry.

  2. Troll.

But, just to give an answer-Affirmative Action should be banned.  Merit should not matter, and nothing else.  The best qualified should be given jobs, scholarships, etc-their race or gender are irrelevent.

  3. Stand on your own and you'll look back on it all with pride. Any other route is a cop out. Always stand on what you know and can do, not on the color of your skin or your ancestry.
