Do I really have to go for a follow up?

I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago I was 8 week pregnant. I went to hospital but of course, they couldn't do anything but just make sure my vitals were ok.

When I first found out I was pregnant my hCG level was only 89 then went to 300 then 4600. Then in the emergency department it was 56. They told me to go back to my GP for follow up blood test to make sure they were still going down. I did a home pregnancy test and the first one was still pos but only a faint line and the second one was neg.

Do I still need to go back to the doctor for a follow up???

I hate blood test!
