Do I really have to wait 6 weeks to have s*x after baby?

My daughter is 3 weeks old, my stitches are healed and I'm feeling great physically. I'm not planning on having s*x for a few more weeks, but would it be SOO terrible to have s*x a little early? Say, for a birthday present? LOL

  1. My doctor said, "nothing in the v****a for 3 weeks."

  2. You really should wait. You are still healing inside. C'mon ya horndog, you can wait a few more weeks can't you? ;)

  3. I only waited 2 ( after a c section) and I should have waited more. It was pretty painful. That is just my experience. Not too bright right?Lol

  4. i had s*x 2 weeks after my son was born so no it wont kill you

  5. I had s*x before the 6 week mark all three times.  Its really kind of up to you.  If you feel like you are ready, then go for it.  Just take it slow and listen to your body.  Just remember that you could get an infection because things are still healing.

  6. Nah you don't have to wait, but ask your partner to be careful. Nothing crazy. You wouldn't want to damage the area again. I set myself back a couple of weeks on healing by not waiting, but I had a c section. I think the key is easy does it.

  7. i had 4 babies and each time was different. but i didn't always wait. 3 are now grown and i'm still here and healthy and my husband and i are still having lots of birthday presents. have fun life short.

  8. Your extremely fertile but you don't have to wait that long ;)

  9. i couldn't wait, it was just after 3weeks for my husband and I and it didn't get infected.

    I'm really glad i didn't wait bc at 6weeks i started the worst heaviest period of my life and it lasted well over a month.  if your a full time breast feeder then your period shouldn't start so soon.

    my doctor said if you feel like you HAVE to then try to wait over 3 weeks at the least

  10. The only reason the doctors say to wait 6 weeks is that it usually takes about that long for that area to feel completely healed.  I would say if you're feeling great, go for it.  But if it feels uncomfortable, make sure to speak up-you may need to wait a little longer.

  11. ahah ive heard of stories of people having s*x before then and they didnt die or anything. I think its a matter of comfort, alot of women are a little scared to have s*x before then and doctors say that becuase 6 weeks is usually when you see them again and thats when they have the time to give you the go ahead. I personally say to wait as long as you possibly can but if your comfortable and ready to begin having s*x again then i guess go for it.

  12. well its to make sure your body is healed you may feel fine but maybe your inside is not healed yet, also there is a higher possibility to get pregnant

  13. you don't HAVE to do anything, not even wait a day, BUT if it hurts, thats your problem o.O;;

  14. When your body tells you go for it, go for it, and have fun!

  15. with my first i waited 5 months. with my second i waited 2 weeks and it was painful and with my third i only waited 3 weeks. i wasnt bleeding of course and i didnt have any c-sections. its all up to how you feel. u should use protection tho to prevent infection or another pregnancy

  16. well i know thy say 6 weeks but with each of mine i was so horney after having them i could not wait, i think with my first it was 4 -5 weeks but my second i had no tears or anything and it was almost 2 weeks later!!!
