I am having company later today for a spaghetti dinner and I want to serve the spaghetti in bowls but my hubby doesn't think it is necessary but I think that using a bowl will help keep the sauce where it belongs and it will be easier to eat.

  1. a bowl

  2. serve it in a "bigger" sized bowl.  Not a cereal bowl but...bigger.

and then place a plate beneath it with some garlic toast/bread on the plate and use small creme-brule sized "bowls" for personal parmesan cheese.

    Good luck!

  3. try those plates that are a little deeper than regular plates. like these

that way you can put somestuff around it and it'll look nice too.

    =]

  4. If they are those nice big bowls like they serve at restaurants it looks great. Not the cereal bowls though - that is like you give to kids not to make a mess LOL  That would be like planning for them to be messy!!! :)

    Have a great time.

  5. neither... use your hands

  6. What you say,, serve it on a plate. I have never eaten spaghetti in any Italian household that used a bowel. But you do as you please it's your dinner party.

Note some people use a knife to cut the spaghetti as this makes it easier to handle. Don't forget the bread and wine.

    Have fun.

  7. pasta bowls or plates otherwise you'll look like an idiot.

  8. On a plate

  9. I would Serve Them In A Pasta Bowl

Because It Will All Fall Off The Side Of The Plates (The Sauce)

But A Cereal Bowl Will Make people Think Your Unproffesional.

  10. If you have those big traditional pasta bowls, by all means do it.    If you're talking about cereal bowls, go for the plate.

  11. i agree bowls are better for pasta

  12. pasta bowls

  13. Defiantly a big nice pasta bowl with a plate underneath, although my fiance likes to eat his spaghetti on a plate and i like to eat mine in a bowl!

  14. Those shallow pasta bowls are great!

  15. plate would be better and would look nicer too

  16. I like it in bowls, with a separate plate for salad and garlic bread .....

  17. pasta bowl w/ plate under

serve with salad and garlic bread...

  18. Pasta Etiquette

It is considered proper, in Italy, to eat pasta with only a fork, not a fork and a spoon. If possible, serve warm pasta in warm, shallow bowls instead of on dinner plates. The sides of the bowl aids in turning pasta noodles on the fork.
