Do I still have to fill the fafsa if the navy is paying for college?

  1. You don't have to but you may want to.  You may be eligible for other federal and state grants by filing a FAFSA that will help to cover expenses not paid by the Navy.  If the Navy is giving you enough to cover everything, then the federal and state grants would be given to you.  Check with the financial aid office.


  2. FAFSA's are usually required if you are interested in student loans, grants, or work-study programs.  If you have no interest in any of these you probably won't need to fill it out.  Check with the financial aid dept. of your school to find out for sure, though.
