Do I still need a student work permit if I am graduating on May 23rd?

I live in California, and I was wondering if I still needed a work permit if i was graduating on the 23rd of May. I am currently 18. Thanks

  1. Work permits are for kids aged 14-15 years old according the Department of Labor.

    But that is neither here nor there, because

    at age 18 you are considered an adult in California

  2. Work Permits are generally for people under 18. So no you don't need one.
