Somtimes you do sometimes you don't depending what your doc says. I would do it anyway though!

Yes you do. You need a full comprehensive exam and a contact lens fitting to wear contacts.

Here in the UK, we treat the contact lens assesment and fitting as a different process to the spectacle examination.

I'm assuming you are not from the UK (we don't get many Dwights) so my advice is you check out your own professionals.

Yes, you do. I just went to a contact lens fitting two days ago. When you make the appointment, make sure you know that it is a contact lens appointment...not just a regular eye exam. The doctor will check your glasses as well, to see if you need a stronger prescription. :)
