I just want to try some contacts and they're supposedly free, but I was wondering whether I have to pay for eye exams and stuff...how much would that be if I were to get them at Pearle Vision? Thanks =)

  1. yes to get a proper fit  (K readings )and not hurt your eye. plan on spending at least 100.00 dollars for the eye exam if you have not had one latley at pearl vision I would shop arround

  2. i love my contacts. you will still need to go to your doctor so he can give you an beye exam. and it depends on your insurence. call your doctor and ask. it doesnt hurt. ♥

  3. You will still need to have the proper measurements done to determine the best fit for the contacts. If you already wear glasses, you will need to provide them with a copy of your most recent prescription. You still need to have the measurements done whether you need correction or for just cosmetic reasons. Ask Pearle in advance what fees you may incur so you have no surprises when you go.

  4. Yes, you should have an exam and have the contacts fitted.  Contacts and eyeballs come in many different sizes. The doctor will determine if your eyes can tolerate contacts and the right size for your eyes.  Poorly fitted contacs can cause permanent damage to your corneas.

Even lenses just for adding color without prescription need to be professionally fitted.
