  1. There are pros and cons to both choices. Both come with a huge amount of responsibility. Have you ever considered becoming a pilot and a law enforcement officer. You could, for example, be a state police officer, and fly a plane or helicopter for your department. Check out http://www.peaceofficerjobs.com for excellent information about law enforcement officer jobs.

  2. Wow, those are two very different professions.  I have friends that do both.  It really depends on what your priorities are.  On a daily basis, being a police officer might be more dangerous (especially if you get stuck in the ghettos of LA), and the pay doesn't start out very high.  Promotions are slow too.  However, its rewarding work.

Being a pilot I think will cost more money for education, but the pay scales are much better.  You are risking your life being in a plane for work, but your work schedule is much cooler than a cop.  My friend that works out of the LA area right now as a pilot captain might work a week, then have a week off, things like that.  Also, your pay increases at a higher rate, and you have perks like free flying for your family.  Its also easy to transfer to other areas.

If it were me, I'd say go for the pilot.  More money, probably more fun, and better vacation time :)

  3. Man, Pilot is Great EXCEPT Ur never at home. So Good luck raising a family being a Pilot. (not saying your going to raise a family, but if you decide to, ur ******)

Everyone hates Cops. atleast i do. DONT BE A COP.

Join the army man. Thats waht im doin

  4. If you are not passionate about flying, have joined a flying club and not already soloed, you have already missed the early part of your pilot training. Because the air lines do NOT pay for basic flying lessons. You are expected to already have an instrument rating to even be considered.

Becoming a cop is a lot easier.

  5. not many people like police offers not sayin that i dont u should be a pilot
