Question:

Do I wait 3 weeks until I'm 18 to apply for an 18-and-over job?

I'm 20 days from turning 18.

Next week a franchise restaurant that's opening up in the mall starts hiring, and they require you to be at least 18.

I'm assuming even a dishwasher recieves some form of training and of course there's the background check and so on - if they were to hire me I would almost certainly be 18 by the time I was actually working for them right?

So can I apply? It very clearly says "must be 18 or older to apply"...

Obviously I can just wait 3 weeks but I really would like to jump on it before other people do - I don't have any experience so I thought being an early bird couldn't hurt, right?

On the other hand if I apply now, what if they toss my application cause I'm not 18 and then, like oh, Safeway, for instance, I can't apply again for another 2 months?

  1. wait till you're 18. if it says you must be 18 or older to apply, it means just that, you must be at least 18 to apply. so wait till you're 18 to submit your application.

  2. just apply and lets see whats their reply,

they should sure consider u if ur qualification meets their requirements.

  3. wait until your 18 or you may be disqualified and have to wait until the next round of interviews.
