I know road bike shorts are made to wear without underwear, but mountain bike shorts are baggier. Do I wear underwear with mountain bike shorts? Thanks.

  1. It's really up to you, but in most cases I would recommend no underwear ... the seams in the underwear will cause irritation just as with road shorts.

  2. Heck, I NEVER where underwear.

  3. You can wear underwear but not the everyday kind: no boxers, no briefs and no boxer briefs.  Underwear helps control and support and prevent injuries if you're a guy.  They help keep your shorts cleaner too.  Go to your local bike shop or d**k's and buy some dedicated bicycling underwear.

  4. no boxers or tighty whiteys. they still have chamois liner.

  5. You don't ever want to wear underwear with any type of cycling shorts.  The goal is to avoid chaffing.  Underwear do not stay in place well.  Under cycling shorts they tend to get bunched up and cause chaffing and/or pressure where you don't want it.

Baggy mountain bike shorts usually have a tight fitting inner lining with a chamois.  If your mountain bike shorts do not, I'd buy one of those liners with a chamois.

    Hope this helps.

  6. no way
