The Declaration of Indigenous Rights Bill was passed by the UN. Only Canada, the US, New Zealand, and Australia were the only countries to vote against the bill because these countries have the largest indigenous populations. But, do the indigenous people of the world need a separate forum because of past misdeeds by their parent governments?

  1. the misdeeds are not past, they continue in the present day too. check all the countries and you will find the indigeneous / aboriginal people are usually in dire straits and everyone takes advantage of them - including the governent

  2. Sure that way the governments can spend more money on ignoring the an international group.  Its interesting that you point out those 4 countries voted against it and yet many countries have people of indigenous natures but simply do not count them seperately from their populations - so they'll be ignored.

This is just another way to take from those who make something of their lives and give to those who want to live their lives differently.

  3. any bill the un passes is nothing but meaningless symbolism.why should the good old USA have this worthless organization meddling in our affairs.
