Do Indian Zoroastrians (Parsis) refer to Iran or India as their homeland? I would assume many of them don't know about their Irani ancestry, but I don't know.

  1. Today there are significantly fewer Zoroastrians than there once were. Over the centuries adherents of the faith have dispersed in all directions, but greater concentrations of Zoroastrians may still be found in the Indian subcontinent and in Iran.

  2. I don't have any direct experience with this question, but I strongly suspect that many consider both places important to their heritage.  India is their *home*, and many are probably patriotic Indian citizens (along with many Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, etc.).  But Persia is an important part of the Zoroastrian heritage, and I suppose that many consider that area to be their spiritual homeland.  A bit like many Jewish Americans, who are proud to be American but continue to have a special attachment to Israel.
