Do Interactive Whiteboards live up to the hype ?

IWB makers claim it will transform teaching. As a teacher/student what is your call ?.. is there any better classroom technology out there ?

  1. Whiteboards are a nightmare.  The ink gets on your clothes, it eventually stains the board, and it smells.  I like to use the computer/projector in my English classes and have returned to the chalk board!  


  2. Smartboards(the name for them) are great! They make class more fun, escpecially for middle school kids.
