Do Italians eat biscotti still eaten after a meal or is that old fashioned?

  1. Biscotti was an inexpensive dessert at one time and was served after a Sunday meal. The adults would dip them in wine while the youngsters, would dip in coffee( 3/4 milk and 1/4 coffee). As they became more affluent, so did the desserts like cream cakes, cannoli, rice pies , fancy cookies,etc.


  2. we don't do it no more

    after lunch there is the coffee (espresso)

    and then an amaro (bitter drink)
