I was just wondering guys,do Jamaican men as a general rule prefer big or small women? I am tall and healthy, not fat,not thin.Just voluptuos. My boyfriend who is Jamaican says i look ok,but i don't believe him.Sometimes he says,You were smaller when i first met you,or I ca't get past u,you are twice my size. Then laughs, saying he is only joking! So i am trying to lose at least 20-30lbs.Like i said,i am not fat,but not thin, somewher in the middle.I have big legs and hips, but small waist.I am feeling kind of insecure!

  1. Who are you losing weight for-- you or him??

I can tell you one thing that I know for sure, no 'real' MAN regardless of their ethnic background likes a low self esteem woman!

If he's making snide remarks about your weight , he has an issue with it.

The bigger question is, do YOU have an issue with your weight and your esteem??

Also, one Jamaican man can't speak for another.

  2. Every man is different just like everywhere else. Some men prefer fatty's, some love slimaz and some couldn't care less, it all depends on the man. Most of the men I've encountered seem to prefer a thicker girl to a skinny one, maybe with hips and b*****s but a flat stomach. But like i said before, all men are different.

I'm tall and I WAS skinny when I just met my boyfriend then i gained a little weight and he's pretty small but he loves me anyway and he NEVER speaks about my weight, I think your boyfriend needs to be more supportive and I hope you're not trying to lose weight for your boyfriend. If he's not happy with you at any size then he's probably not worth your time. If you're gonna lose weight then make sure it's all for you.

  3. Personally i am a 'futuristic' Jamaican man. If you talking about a SERIOUS relationship (as opposed to a short vacation), i tend to think about how bigger b*****s start to sag, and how bigger women become HUGE, especially if fitness isnt a part of their life.

All this leads ME to prefer 'trimmer' women in general.

As far as MOST Jamaican men, who can't seem to think longer than a few inches at a time, they usually prefer the shapier women.

FOR YOU, i would suggest dealing with your weight as primarily a health issue. Focus on factors such as whether or not your body weight is efficient. Pleasing a man should not really be among the top priorities (unless thats your line of work)! Instead, keep your body 'optimum' with enough balance to budget for variations, accidents and eventualities.

Dont make lame excuses for wieght gain (or loss). Either your weight change fits your plan or it doesn't. If it doesn't fit into your plan then act quickly.

    AND ONE OTHER THING:

Your boyfriend is either STUPID or RUDE. There are certain things you do NOT make jokes about. Perhaps you should make a joke about his d*ck being smaller? ha ha. See who laughs the most.

  4. Being a jamaican man and all I want small frame women. Your man is the jokey type it seem. He is an idiot because he's not supposed to joke about your weight or anything like that. If uno is in a serious relationship he should take ur physical appearance seriously.

Make fun of his body and see if he likes that instead.  But to answer your question it depends on the kind of Jamaican man you askin. If him like di mamps den him like di big frame.I like small frame women. Since im in a serious relationship now wen my gal get older, nothing on her wont sag..Since u in between then u should b good to go.

  5. Well i think it depends.  From how u describe urself, u seem to have my body shape except i am and short and my breast are small.  I have bigger hips and thighs and a very flat stomach.  I live in Jamaica and the men are VERY APPRECIATIVE of my figure. As some of the others have said it really depends on the man and what he likes but i am constantly complemented by jamaican man about my hips and my 'bumper bottom'.  I work out all the time (5 days a week) and even if I lose weight, my bottom half will still be much bigger than my top half.  My boyfriends loves my shape and panics everytime i try to loose a few pounds. If u r happy with ur body then that is all there is to it.  Just concentrate on being healthy and being the best u that u can be.  Any anyway, big butts and hips are in look at beyonce and J LO! LOL!

  6. Your man isnt a real Jamaican we Jamaicans love black white brown woman fat skinny phat tall short any race any country any culture

out of many one people!thats our motto

we treat our woman like their gods or lets say qeeun

we dont care if the frame bigg or small  attleast if its a woman

your bf must think to much on his self

  7. I agree with most of what's already being said.  Jamaican men, in general, prefer women who have well defined hips and more than a mouthful of b*****s.  Having said that, everyone is indeed different; therefore, your boyfriend's preference might be different.

The most important thing is that YOU are comfortable with the way you look.  If you boyfriend's comments are affecting you, then you should let him know how you feel.  This the the time for a "Let's talk" moment.

As for the "futuristic" Jamaican men (LOL I've never heard that before) I'd like to see one woman who does not sag sooner or later as they get older and it does not have much to do with their weight.  There are many solidly built women whose body remain very firm until long after menopause.

If you really love someone, whether he/she's slim, fat or in-between should not be one of the determining factors.  Fat people can get slim and slim people can get fat; but personalities very rarely change regardless of age.

  8. big women...

  9. Sis. your boy friend is a bit insensitive, in a humorous way, please let him know how you feel about these jokes.

Now tuh de part of preferences, real Jamaican men will love their queens and princesses for her character, comeliness, strength, vitality, tenacity, seductiveness, ( de 'locomotiveness' of de hips) culinary skills, responsibility, intellectuality(varied from street wise to M.b.a, B.a, Dr, Prof., A.b.c.d.e.f.g.h. an so on) productivity, not too facety but not timid, size is de last thing on we mind.

Unless in excessively, where the mission is impossible.
