  1. they usually conduct interviews in an office. Two people can't fit in the socks.

  2. At the office where I worked we removed our shoes at the door and put on slippers. Each employee had their own slippers and then there were "guest" slippers. So if you were going for an interview you'd wear the guest slippers. If your interview was in a tatami room you would only wear your socks. Well, ha ha. . .your socks and all your other clothes.

  3. Yes it is there custom

  4. whaddaya talkin' about?

  5. No offence, but thats gotta be one of the funniest questions ive read in a while lol. its a bit like me asking 'do american business men conduct interviews in their cowboy hats and their gun holsters?'

Let me ask, business is business, where ever you are in the world, you have to look smart, you wear suits and polished black shoes, no matter where you are in the world. And considering we are talking about japan with the enormity of their businesses and emphasis on professionalism, does it seem like its something they would do? Maybe the odd crackpot bosses do that lol, but certainly not the norm.

  6. No-you keep your shoes on at the office
