Question:

Do Japanese people think black and white people smell bad?

I read that Japanese people have almost no scent glands in their bodies! I realize that BO is caused by bacteria and not pheromones, but since we can't smell ourselves I wonder if Japanese people can smell us? And if so, do they think we stink? I've heard they say white people smell like milk.

"Only about 10% of Japanese people have any underarm odor at all, and at one point having scent glands in the underarms qualified a Japanese male for a military exemption and a free ticket to a medical center where they could receive treatment."

  1. Japanese people have the same noses and "scent glands" as the rest of humanity.  Because of reasons like  their close proximity to people in their cramped quarters and reliance on freshness in their sea based diet they have higher standards for sanitation than one might find else where.  This cultural difference may make certain unfair stereotypes about others.  Every culture has stereotypes about different cultures.

  2. well honestly yes when we sweat you can smell our diet, and most American white or black poele have a high red meat content in their diet so that smell comes through and they feel it stinks

  3. Not trying to be racist but that is WIERD!!!

Black and White Americans work very hard so we have a bit of an odor.  We actually do a lot of hard work and sweat compared to other nations.
