Do Liberals honestly believe that...?

there is no such thing as liberal bias?

That is such bullshit,and I'm a liberal!

It's so obvious.

I know what the argument is. All the networks are owned by rich, white dudes who would not like Obama's tax increase, and that they're conservatives.

Ted Turner is the owner of CNN,and he's considered liberal.

I just find it crazy.

Look at MSNBC.Keith Olbermann is the most liberal on that network. He constantly rails against Bush. If the network owners were conservative, don't you think they'd tell him to shut up.

CNN is not,in my opinion, incredibly biased towards Democrats, but it's obvious they favor Democrats. CBS,ABC,and NBC also favor Democrats.

MSNBC is the liberal version of FOX News. They haven't stooped to FOX's level yet,but they're getting down there pretty fast.

Also, these networks are not closely monitored by their owners like FOX News is monitored 24/7 by Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes.

I'm not saying that the owners of the other networks are rooting for Obama to win,but they're anchors and reporters are pretty biased towards Obama

Yes,I know about the Reverend Wright thing.I also know about the other media circus over Democrats like Eliot Spitzer,John Edwards, and Bill Clinton, but that's because those are hot stories.

Especially with Obama,he hadn't messed up,and the Wright thing was the first time something controversial came out about him.

Look at the newspapers as well. NYT,LAT,the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune. They're all pretty liberal

Am I the only liberal who believes there is such a thing as liberal bias?

  1. It's not purely liberal.  I think it's a mix of who the news media owners want to run the country.  MSNBC is pretty liberal slanted in their commentary shows but, they do back things up for the most part.  CNN I find only biased when Wolf reports on things.  Fox is pretty opinionated.  BBC is pretty unbiased.  I think it's too complicated to just say that all media outlets are liberally biased.

  2. yawns there all bias

  3. No, I am a liberal as well, and I completely agree. I subscribe to TIME magazine and sometimes the blantantness of their love affair with Obama is embarrassing.

But, I can't really blame them... I love Obama too.

  4. No, I think other libs would agree with you but since blue collar Dems don't like being called liberal the liberal bias is kept on the down low especially during election years.

  5. No,

I am a liberal, and I hate ALL the news networks almost as much as Fox, they all suck, and none of them have any liberal bias

even the NYT is supposed to be liberal, but it was repulbican lies printed in the NYT that brought us to war (judy Miller)

  6. Not just liberal bias but anti-woman bias.  Look what they did to Hillary.  The media smeared her to h**l and back and not just Fox.  I'm still steaming and don't think I'll ever get over that.

  7. I don't think so, but the ones convincing others to are highly paid, at the workers expense. Name a poor Dem. in office?

  8. Why don't we cut the charade and use terms like Democrat and Republican.  Because Democrats ain't liberals and Republicans are not conservatives.

  9. Have you been living in a box?  We have all see what has happened in the last 8 years... Democrat is the way to go!  Obama 08!

  10. i'm liberal in many ways, and of course there is much liberal bias! msnbc is full of it. just watch keith olbermann.

conservatives are just louder so people notice it more. sean hannity and bill o'reilly scare people, and that's why many see fox noise as more biased. but liberal media is just the same.

i agree with you completely. you are not alone =]

  11. Is that you, Rush?

  12. No, you're not the only one.

  13. I think you're biased

  14. You couldn't possibly be a liberal and say what you are saying.

A survey a couple of years ago established that publishers and station CEO's voted for Bush 2:1.

ABC's ridiculous docudrama about the lead up to 911 recycled every Republican conspiracy theory.

The coverage of the conventions is a perfect example.  The morning after Obama's wonderful speech the lead off story was Sarah.

Right wing wackos like to say that Fox News is the counterpart to NPR.  No! It is the equivalent of a cold war Pravda.

I can tick off numerous right wing talk show hosts.  Name one liberal one.

The media bias was also confirmed when McSame's stupid answer was edited out of a major network interview and every tiny detail about Obama is magnified and endlessly repeated out of context.

You have it totally backwards and are just recycling an old conservative line.  It is one of the reasons that I don't think that Obama can win.   Gross media bias combined with racial bias gives Obama no chance....unless McSame does something really stupid like nominating an extremist novice like Sarah.  Think about her being president. Never even served in the Senate or House or any appointed Federal position and her social positions are all very extreme.

  15. They even believe the lies they tell themselves.

  16. Fox News evens it all out. Quit whining.
