I think my liver energy is stagnated and am considering doing a liver cleanse that involves apple juice, epsom salt and olive oil.

Does anyone know if they work?

  1. Often, herbs that support the Liver's ability to eliminate are very effective as a Liver Cleanse. These would include yellow dock, dandelion, and heal all.

  2. not sure bout that, but i know you can buy some great herbal alixir's for cleansing the colon, liver, etc.

    try online at www.kasscabel.com/

  3. I did this same cleansing, and it did work well for me.. I will do it again .. My advice is to follow the directions exactly and I did also take milk thistle everyday.. It is important to eat right as a cleansing doesn't do much good unless you follow up with eating right and taking care of your body.. Drink lots of water with it ( when it says you can) .. read it many times and make sure you do it correctly.. you will be glad you followed directions.. If you don't .. then it will not work and you will just have a very bad night on the toilet... Good luck... : )

  4. If you are somewhat comfortable then these things work but you go for more beneficial things take apple cider vinegar, avoid salt and sugar fried foods, go for fruits and vegetables, avoid alchohol, coffee, tea, cold drinks.

  5. Yes they do they have this one called Super phos 30. Just go on-line and read about it and what people are saying about it it worked for me. And yes it will make you go but it will soften up the stones in your gallbladder and liver......and expell them at the end of the cleanse. And do not take anything with Burdock in it. It will mess your colon up. And do not use Epson salt as a laxative.

  6. Cleansing is unhealthy and doesn't do anything for you.

  7. Yes, they do. I would start with taking a liver and kidney tonic like milk thistle, schizandra, he shou wu are good herbs but a proprietary blend of herbs are even better. I don't care what some people say on this forum liver and kidney cleanses are good and there is absolutely nothing wrong with detoxing. After doing one you will notice a difference in how you feel and your food cravings will be better too. You will want to eat better.

  8. No, they don't.   At best, all that mixture will do is give you diarrhea.  That will upset your entire body, and eliminate the normal bacterial flora of your intestines- which you happen to need for normal digestion.   The liver is one big filter as it is, and it doesn't need any help from you.  Besides, nothing you can take by mouth will leach anything from your body.  Chelation is what is required in that case.  That uses some very nasty chemicals given through an IV, in the hospital, by doctors who know what they are doing.  Even then, it's dangerous.  Your body functions well without your needing to clean anything but your skin.  If you want things to functin at peak performance, the eat right, exercise, and stay away from strange concoctions that claim to "clean" your innards.  Your innards will be very greatful for that alone.

  9. I can't remember the last time my liver energy felt stagnated, and I drink a lot of apple juice....

  10. Ive done that cleanse myself, it worked well.  However i do recommend seeing an experienced herbalist/homeopath/naturopath etc and get their advice and support.  Also, get your general health checked out first, because any cleanse like this can overload your system with toxins that could trigger serious reactions from other organs in your body.

I would, start gently by cleaning up your diet first, reducing and or cutting out the obvious, additives, sugar, wheat, dairy, meat and increasing your fresh, local, seasonal vegetables.

Cider vinegar and honey is a good drink in the morning as is warm water with fresh lemon juice squeezed into it.

The cider vinegar over time will soften any hard deposits, such as stones, drinking apple juice can also help this too.

If you do these things first before the big cleanse you mentioned, it will be gentler on your body and have more lasting results.
