I expect that they can hold it for a year. You only get to keep it if you win it five times but if Man Utd want to see it after the end of the season they can always pop down to Anfield where it is on permanent display in the Liverpool trophy room!

They get to keep the orgainal one until the quater final, semi final and final draw in March.

They then have to had the trophy back to Uefa who will then pass it on to the Italian FA who will look after it until the final in Italy next May.

United can then make a copy of it no more than 3/4's the actual size of the trophy.

If you are in England and want to see an orgainal Uefa Champions League (European Cup) only place to see it after next March is Anfield
