Do Medical Assistants Make More Money Working In Hospitals or Doctor's Offices?

I'm in high school and going to a technical school to become a medical assistant. My second year is about to end in june, I want to know how I can use this certificate to the best advantage, I'm going to be starting college and renting an apartment. So I will need the money. Any suggestions?

working for a private doctor..they really don't make more than 15 hr and that's the most.....i would go to school for something eles..like medical billing and coding.....
