Do Mosquitos bite through tights?

Question

I've got a wedding BBQ tonight and I'm wearing a dress but when it gets to the evening the mosquito's will come out. Ive decided to put skin colour tights on, will the mosquito's be able to bite through them and also what else could I do to avoid getting bitten? Before people say don't wear a dress I am wearing a dress so anything that I can do to stop them when wearing the dress.

They wont bite through the tights, i went to italy - and a friend didnt get bitten while she wore the tights - only on the days she took them off!

Mosquitoes do not bite, period.

Mosquitoes do not have any teeth to be able to bite you with.

it depends upon the specie of the mosquito....

but as far as im concerned most of the Mosquitos are capable of biting through tights....

i suggest you to apply some repellent and then go 4 the party

from my bitter experience they bite through absolutely anything. I'd spray your legs with insect repellent before putting on your tights. Have a good time and hope the weather is kind to you.

Yes they do sting through tights with no problems, use insect spray.

They get me through my socks. So tights would not be a problem for them. The anti-mosquito sprays do work quite well. Some pong a bit though!

yes mosquito's can bite thru pants and pants are thicker than tights.

i dont think they can they might have a go though! i found that spraying them with something strong smelling like a perfume keeps them away.

Hi,

Yes mosquito's will bite through your tights. The only thing you can do to prevent them from doing so is to get a good mosquito repellent and that is no guarantee that you will not get bitten, only reduce the bites. Also, if you eat lots of garlic beforehand, this will help as the garlic perfume is extruded from your pores and the mosquitoes and other biting insects do not like it!!! Unfortunately, unless your partner is French, he wont like it ether!!
