Do NBC Universal own BBC?

I uploaded a rowing race to youtube from the olympics. I recorded the footage off the TV from a channel caled BBC 1. However my video has been taken down by a copyright claim from NBC Universal. I see tons of sports videos, races etc. on yooutube. Why has mine been taken down?

  1. NBC Universal bought the broadcast rights for the Olympics from the IOC who owns it. They least out footage to other stations across the globe. So the BBC leased the broadcast from NBC Universal The BBC is a 'public corporation': neither a private corporation nor a government department. The high ideal is that it is held in trust for the public of the UK by the BBC Trust (the successor to the Board of Governors following the renewal of the BBC Charter by the government in 2006).     Your video was taken down because you were caught. Others have been taken down also. NBC Universal pays someone to find them and have them removed
