  1. Nope, they are a limited amount of cameras that all stations use for example the cameras for the swimming are from australia :)


  2. Of course not. If every TV station in the world would use their own cameras, nobody would be able to see anything except the TV crews.

  3. I'm pretty sure the BBC have their own cameras at the Olympics, so NBC probably do as well.  

  4. NBC would have their own cameras to do out of venue reports and also athlete interviews

    Some of the big networks are also allocated to film some events. So the official broadcaster here in Australia, Channel 7, has been allocated to do the swimming so they had to take all their cameramen, cameras and equipment to Beijing (all 60 tonnes of it).

    So NBC being the biggest broadcaster at these Games will definitely have been allocated at least one sport

  5. No, what ever you see on tv is being broadcasted everywhere in the world.

  6. Only NBC have the HD camera's. If you are watching it in HDTV then it is being broadcasted by NBC.
