I think I'm going to join the Navy for a while and then NCIS. However, I was just wondering, do NCIS agents get Diplomatic Immunity if they work in other countries?

  1. No, they work for the Navy, you need to be an accredited diplomat working for the State Department for Diplomatic Immunity.  But why would that matter?

  2. I doubt it.  I've never heard of an NCIS agent being assigned to an embassy.

  3. No, but as active military personel they are usually protected under SOFA agreements, and would normally be prosecuted under the UCMJ for most offences. Just what did you have in mind?
